Who to start and who to sit? That’s the question that plagues everyone who plays fantasy football on a weekly basis?
Honestly, it’s the one question you need to answer right in order to do well in this crazy game of fantasy. Will you get it right all the time? No, because football will surprise, especially if you buy into the adage: On any given Sunday, any team can beat any other team. But relax, we’re here to help you work through those decisions with as much information as you need to be confident in a decision you can stand by.
Here are the Week 5 Fantasy Football Team Defenses to Sit.
Team defense is always a tricky position because you really need a commissioner who understands how to reward a defense. Points allowed is a nice idea stat, but most teams are able to score 20 points and unless your commish modifies that, team defenses will matter as much as a TE2 on your roster. So each week, we’re looking for which defenses can rack up points that can’t be taken away as the game goes on, opportunities for turnovers, sacks, and general chaos is where team defenses seize the moment. We also look for matchups where those opportunities are less likely to happen.
Kansas City Chiefs Team Defense vs. Buffalo Bills
The reigning AFC champs have no defense and it’s evident in their first four games of the season where they’ve allowed an average of 31.25 points. Each opposing team has scored at least 29 points and has had no trouble running the ball against them. That’s given each opponent confidence in playing the Chiefs and the Bills have no shortage.
Buffalo is a nightmare for opposing defenses. Their last two opponents have had negative fantasy points against the Bills, who have scored 40 points in each of those games.
