Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks at Indianapolis Colts

The Seahawks’ tight ends get no glory when you have DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett making highlight grabs. But the tight ends should not be forgotten. Last year three tight ends combined for 106 targets. In 2019, their top three tight ends were targeted a total of 96 times. Russell Wilson likes to throw to his tight ends.

They cleared house a little to make room for acquiring Everett but Will Dissly is still in the mix. Just know it’s Everett’s role to grab. He’s had the chance to do that with the Rams but injuries allowed Tyler Higbee to eventually win that spot. Everett can be a low end TE1 if he wants to and that’s why his owners will be banking on.

The Colts are a good team against the position, but given how much attention they’ll give the wideouts and the running back, the sneaky play is a red zone throw to Everett.
