It’s not always easy to navigate this feast or famine position, but we’re always looking out for the right matchups. Right now, let’s see which ones pass do NOT the grade for Week 17.
Noah Fant, Denver Broncos vs. Las Vegas Raiders
In Week 15, Fant scored his third touchdown of the 2020 season, the first since Week 3. What should have been a breakout season has been a weekly source of frustration for Fant owners. Why? Drew Lock proved to be more of a work-in-progress than the answer for the Broncos, which in turn became a setback for Fant’s development.
Las Vegas shut Fant down in Week 10. He caught just 3-of-7 passes for 18 yards. The only good thing is that he gets his targets, which have only increased as the season has worn on. Fant has 20 targets in the last two weeks alone. The Raiders have been not been good against the elite tight ends like Travis Kelce, Rob Gronkowski, and even Hunter Henry. Fant’s not elite yet.
