San Francisco 49ers Team Defense vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Niners’ 2020 campaign is no Super Bowl hangover. It’s worse than that when you consider the caliber and number of significant losses the team has had on defense alone. They mustered up a valiant effort in Week 3 but besides that, the 49ers defense has been toothless. They’re not applying enough pressure and while they’re still able to cause turnovers, there’s just not enough of them to offset the problems.

As for the Rams, they’ve gone over the 30-point barrier three times this year. They’re keeping Jared Goff clean with just seven sacks through five games. And while they’ve given up at least one turnover the opposing team is doing nothing with them. The Rams are playing well right now and starting the Niners’ D would be just getting in their way.
