It’s Week 17 of the 2020 NFL season and the final week of season-long fantasy football. For many, it’s the Super Bowl! The 2020 season was full of difficult decisions in selecting the right waiver wire claims and knowing when to drop a player. Navigating COVID-19 outbreaks add a layer of complexity plaguing each week.
It’s time to make the most crucial decision of them all–setting your lineups! Let’s about the Kickers!

Kickers are always a wild card that can keep owners guessing week in and out over who to start. We like to look at how good the opposing defenses are, the game scripts that would allow a high scoring affair and kicker accuracy. In this final week, we look to which teams are the ones most desperate to hang on and score points in any form. Let’s see which ones do NOT pass the grade for Week 17.
Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals
The Rams are a team that’s hitting some big speed bumps before the season ends. Jared Goff got surgery on his broken thumb and John Wolford is closing the season out. That’s a downgrade for the entire Rams offense, who are also without Darrell Henderson. Cam Akers is questionable with an ankle injury too so if Malcolm Brown is the only running back that can go for the Rams, this will stunt the offense as well.
Just too many unknowns for Matt Gay owners who have been able to ride him into the fantasy playoffs with five top 10 finishes since Week 11. The variables make him a risky play for a fantasy Super Bowl.
