Kickers are always a wild card that can keep owners guessing week in and out over who to start. We like to look at how good the opposing defenses are, the game scripts that would allow a high scoring affair and kicker accuracy. Let’s see which ones do NOT pass the grade for Week 12.

Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

Boy it’s rare to see Tucker land in this side of Start/Sits, but he’s finished out of the top 10 seven times this season. The offense has taken a few steps back this year over the 2019 campaign, when Tucker kicked a career high 57 extra points.

While it’s still possible for Tucker to equal his 29 field goals from last season, the Ravens would need to score 28 more touchdowns (4.6 per game) over the final six games to equal that. I can assure you, that’s not going to happen against the Steelers, especially if they’re missing as many players to COVID as what’s currently on their reserve/COVID-19 list.

The last time these teams played, Tucker was lucky to get eight fantasy points. He would be lucky to reach half of that number in Week 23.
