The tight end position has seen a little bit of everything. Every week it seems we have a new names to consider. Some young ones developing right on time and that’s very encouraging for what is typically a talent-starved position. Then there are the journeymen whose names we kick around and stream each week.

It’s not always easy to navigate this feast or famine position, but we’re always looking out for the right matchups. Right now, let’s see which ones pass the grade for Week 6.

Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns

Sometimes if you wish it bad enough it happens, and other times in the case of tight ends, it never happens. Ebron appeared to be trending in the right direction and had a layup of a matchup against the Eagles and just couldn’t get a score away from Chase Claypool.

Now Ebron faces yet another team who is vulnerable to the tight end– the Browns. They are one of five teams who have allowed over 30 receptions, one of three teams to be targeted over 50 times, and one of nine teams to allow over 300 yards to the position. Now there are teams that are worse than the Browns (the Bills, Saints, Eagles and Falcons) but if Ebron can’t score on them, he’s a hopeless cause.
