Arizona Cardinals Team Defense at San Francisco 49ers
Like the Browns, if the Cardinals can’t get an early lead on the Niners, it will be a difficult task to hold this Niners offense from steamrolling through. Even though the team has injuries to their receivers, they don’t rely on them as other teams do. If they wanted to run the ball a team’s collective throat, they will and few teams have the ability to force them to throw.

Now, the Cardinals have good linebackers. The safeties are solid against the run but the corners Patrick Peterson and Byron Murpy have to come to play. There are pieces and parts of what could be an improved defensive unit but they’re a team who could’ve benefitted from a much longer training camp. We’re not ready to write off the Cardinals in Week 1, but we don’t like them in this matchup.
