This is it, the big game to end the 2019-2020 season. The Super Bowl is set and the party is hopping in Miami, who plays host to the high powered offense of the Kansas City Chiefs and the best balanced team all year, the San Francisco 49ers. The good news is that there are no significant injuries to speak of. Everyone is on the table. With everything riding on one game, you’re going to have a lot of similar looking DFS lineups, but it’s time to look at the players who will make an impact today and is going to set you apart.

Here are your Daily Fantasy Football Star Matchups of Super Bowl LIV.

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers

In their two previous playoff games, Kansas City allowed each quarterback to throw for two touchdowns. Interestingly in the regular season, the Chiefs allowed opposing quarterbacks to score three touchdowns only four times. Another three signal callers managed two touchdowns but in the other nine games, quarterbacks scored one or none. The better quarterbacks do tend to play well against the Chiefs though and that doesn’t mean this defense doesn’t make big plays. Expect the Honeybadger’s presence to be felt, but does that mean you blow your budget on Patrick Mahomes? Is the likely drop-off, (one to two touchdowns) difference worth it if you’re able to load up on more quality flex players?

Perhaps, but here’s the case for Jimmy G. He’s going to save you at least $1,000-$2,000 in most DFS setups. The Niners are running this ball, no doubts, but when Garoppolo has to throw, he’s got weapons at each station and George Kittle is a matchup problem especially since the Chiefs’s defense is TE friendly. Garoppolo can morph his game to whatever the game calls for. Against the Saints this season, he showed that he can dish it out if it turns into a shootout. If the Chiefs are expecting run, Garoppolo can make them pay but it ultimately comes down to who else can you cram in your lineup?
