The running backs position continues to take hits from key injuries flipping the table on some running back committees. We just saw 28-year old Le’Veon Bell switch teams from the Jets to the Chiefs. So anything can happen. Start the wrong guy and it could be the difference of 20-30 points. Let’s see which ones look good for Week 6.

Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings vs. Atlanta

With Dalvin Cook hobbling, Mattison will get the call many fantasy owners have been waiting for. Well, at least those dynasty players who have been dying to use the little used backup. He finally got to shed the warmups and get 20 quality carries in relief duty after Cook went down against the Seahawks. He racked up 112 yards, plus added three catches for 24 yards. Imagine what he could do in a full game?

The Falcons have allowed five backs to go over 14.0 points in PPR scoring and their defense has looked soft after losing many players to injury. In what could be a shootout, Mattison is looking pretty as a potential top 5 running back. Not bad for a backup.
