PPR ALERT: Keelan Cole, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Detroit Lions
Cole has been a tough to give a full thumbs up to start for many reasons. He’s on an offense that at times has been anemic, he’s the slot receiver, and D.J. Chark should get the biggest and best targets. But that hasn’t been the entire picture of the Jaguars’ 2020 season so far. Cole is averaging six targets per game, he has three games with touchdowns and therefore has three of five games where he’s been worthy of a flex start.
Looking at the rest of the Jaguars’ schedule in October and November, this is the best matchup he has for five games. In each of Detroit’s first four games, at least two receivers from the opposing team were worth starting in fantasy. Cole and Laviska Shenault Jr. are the high reception guys, both over 20 and also lead the team in targets. Chark has also played one game less than the others, so we’ll count him as one of the two who should do well. That leaves Cole and Shenault to claim the other good targets. Seeing as Cole is tied for the lead in touchdowns, we’ll give the slight edge to him.
