It’s Week 17 of the 2020 NFL season and the final week of season-long fantasy football. For many, it’s the Super Bowl! The 2020 season was full of difficult decisions in selecting the right waiver wire claims and knowing when to drop a player. Navigating COVID-19 outbreaks add a layer of complexity plaguing each week.

It’s time to make the most crucial decision of them all–setting your lineups! Let’s about the Quarterbacks!

Based on your league set up and scoring, your starting fantasy roster could hinge completely on the signal caller or it could be the most insignificant of skill players. In super-flex or two-quarterback leagues, it’s often the right combination of the two that pushes you over the edge. Start the wrong guy and it could be the difference of 20-30 points.

Let’s see which ones look good for Week 17.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

What’s at stake here? The Saints still have a shot at the top seed in the playoffs for the NFC, but will need to win and the Packers to lose. They need that extra week off because their entire running backs group including the Saints’ RB coach will be held out and placed on the COVID/reserve list, potentially for 10 days. So the Saints really need that week off to get a chance at seeing Alvin Kamara suit up again this season.

So much is resting on Drew Brees’ throwing arm. There’s no six touchdowns by Kamara in Week 17. There’s no Michael Thomas either. So we’ll see Brees dropping back for a season high total of 50+ attempts. We could see Taysom Hill in the backfield or Ty Montgomery. Brees’ arm is likely going to fall off, especially if the Saints’ defense can’t get off the field.
