Alex Smith, Washington Football Team vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Some might think it’s too soon to think that Smith is ready to start in a fantasy team but when you have quarterbacks like Drew Brees going down, the Washington QB is going to look attractive to some. He started the last two games against the Giants and Lions, throwing for at least 325 yards in both. Heck, he almost reached 400 yards last week. He just hasn’t thrown many touchdowns. That’s where the Bengals come in.

Cincinnati has allowed three passing touchdowns to three of the last four quarterbacks they’ve faced. They’ve also allowed multiple throwing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks in all but two games: Week 1 against journeyman Tyrod Taylor and Week 3 when they played Carson Wentz who has had his worst season of his career (58.2 completion percentage). There’s a chance this game goes back and forth and that could inflate Smith’s numbers even more.
