The 2020 NFL season is now 7 weeks old and there is no better time than now to start picking up players from your fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in the first month and ends up being a top-50 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season.

Instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire tight ends for Week 8.

Richard Rodgers, TE, Philadelphia Eagles

With Dallas Goedert (ankle) and Zach Ertz (ankle) out, Rodgers became the Eagles No. 1 tight end against the New York Giants in Week 7 and delivered nicely (six catches for 85 yards). Goedert is in line to miss at least one more game, and Ertz is out for a few more weeks at minimum.

Week 8 brings a favorable matchup for Rodgers, as the Dallas Cowboys are bottom-tier defense against tight ends. In seven games, eight tight ends have posted at least seven PPR fantasy points against them.

The Eagles have their bye in Week 9, with Goedert possibly back in Week 10. So Rodgers is looking mostly like a solid streamer in Week 8. However, he does have a path to fantasy viability if Ertz is out to the wide end of his reported 4-6 week timeline from last week.
