Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants

Jones fall at the end of a long run got all the attention in Week 7, but don’t ignore the big picture of what he did against the Philadelphia Eagles (20-for-30, 187 yards, two touchdowns, 92 rushing yards). He isn’t going to light the world on fire as a passer, but he has topped 40 rushing yards in four of his last five games and a rough early stretch of schedule is behind him.

A tough matchup is coming against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8. But three of the last five quarterbacks Tampa Bay has faced have topped 280 yards through the air against them, so there’s some volume-based fantasy appeal for Jones.

Bad pass protection and inconsistency as a passer aside, Jones’ running ability raises his fantasy floor. He’s a viable add in two-quarterback leagues, with some streaming appeal in the coming weeks.
