The 2020 NFL season is now 6 weeks old and there is no better time than now to start picking up players from your fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in the first month and ends up being a top-50 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season.

Instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire tight ends for Week 7.

Richard Rodgers, TE, Philadelphia Eagles

The infirmary the Eagles wide receiver corps resembles has now moved toward the tight ends. Dallas Goedert (ankle) is on IR and possible out a few more weeks, and after an ankle injury of his own in Week 6 Zach Ertz is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

Rodgers was the last man standing in Week 6, finishing with three receptions for 31 yard against the Baltimore Ravens. Since Goedert went down he has seen solid playing time, with three catches in two of the last three games now. The Giants have been tough against tight ends so far, but Rodgers is lined up to be one of the only good options for Carson Wentz on a short week.

If only as a streamer for Week 7, with Goedert’s status worth watching as a driving force, Rodgers is on the radar. Beyond that his fantasy value is anyone’s guess, but the dearth of viable tight ends makes Rodgers a name to at least stash away.
