The 2020 NFL season is now 5 weeks old and it’s time to start streaming defenses from your fantasy football waiver wire. As we discussed in our preseason and weekly rankings, unless you own one of the few top tier defenses, you are better off finding the best option each week from your leagues waiver wire. Instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, immediately after reading our team defenses to stream article head over to your league and put your waiver wire claims in for Week 6.

Remember, often times these team defenses to stream we are suggesting are for one week only. If we like a defense long-term, or in a different week than the current one, we will make sure to let you know.

New York Giants, D/ST

The Giants allowed 31 points to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, but also scored a defensive touchdown among two takeaways along with two sacks. They have multiple sacks in all five of their games, heading into a favorable Week 6 matchup.

The Washington football team benched Dwayne Haskins in favor of Kyle Allen for Week 5, with Alex Smith coming in against the Los Angeles Rams when Allen got banged up. It all added up to a season-low 10 points scored and a season-high eight sacks allowed, and they have not score more than 20 points since Week 1 (17 points or less three times).

The Giants’ defense hasn’t been quite as bad as it might look. For Week 6 they are a top-end streamer facing Washington, with Allen getting the start again.
