The 2020 NFL season is now 5 weeks old and there is no better time than now to start picking up players from your fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in the first month and ends up being a top-50 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season.

Instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire tight ends for Week 6.

Gerald Everett, TE, Los Angeles Rams

Everett needed a rushing score to register anything in Week 4, but he followed it with four catches for a team-high 90 yards in Week 5 against Washington. Tyler Higbee had nearly double the snaps (56 to 30), but the Rams tight end that is trending the right way production-wise is Everett.

It’s not a great matchup in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, who entered Week 5 allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends (Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR). But Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki had five catches for 91 yards against them in Week 5, and Dolphins’ No. 2 tight end Adam Shaheen caught a touchdown.

Sharing work puts a ceiling on both Higbee and Everett at this point. But with the tight end position as shallow as it is for waiver wire options, Everett is on the radar in deeper leagues.
