The 2020 NFL season is just 2 weeks old and there is no better time than now to start picking up players from your fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-50 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season.

Instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire wide receivers for Week 3.

Russell Gage, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Gage had nine catches for 114 yards in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks (on 12 targets), then he followed with with six receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. He also would have had a touchdown pass last week if Julio Jones hadn’t dropped it.

The sieve that is the Falcons’ defense is assuring plenty of passing from Matt Ryan, and there’s room for Gage to eat as the No. 3 wide receiver (21 targets through two games). The next two weeks aren’t great matchups (Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers), but Weeks 5-8 are (Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Panthers again).

Gage is worth adding as a WR3/WR4 in 12-team leagues, with some favoritism to PPR formats. He’s an injury away from being a bankable weekly WR2 regardless of scoring format.
