Adrian Peterson, RB, Detroit Lions

Peterson functioned as the Lions’ lead back in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears, with 93 yards on 14 carries and three catches (!) for 21 yards. Detroit employed a nearly even three-man committee, and rookie D’Andre Swift was the one who scored, but Peterson had more touches (17) than Swift and Kerryon Johnson combined (13).

Peterson will continue a reunion tour of the NFC North in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers. Dalvin Cook scored twice against them in Week 1, despite getting just 12 carries as the Vikings possessed the ball for less than 19 minutes.

Adding Peterson comes with the downside of watching him come off the field and having touchdowns vultured from him. But he’s a touch volume commodity for fantasy owners now, and that makes him a solid add in all 12-team leagues.
