Nyheim Hines, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Hines entered the season with Philip Rivers-driven potential in the Colts’ backfield. In Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he finished with 73 total yards and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) on 15 touches (eight catches). Starting running back Marlon Mack left the game with an injury, and initial reports point to a torn Achilles and if that is the case, he will be gone for the season.

With the injury to Mack looks it’ll be Jonathan Taylor and Hines monopolizing touches in the Colts’ backfield, with Hines getting a healthy dose of red zone work if Week 1 is an indication. The Colts have a Week 2 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, a defense that was absolutely shredded by the Green Bay Packers last week and on paper Hines won’t face a formidable run defense until the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.

Hines still carries more value in PPR leagues; however he’s also a true threat in non-PPR formats. If you need to add an immediate impact to your running back position, take a deep look at Hines.
