Philadelphia Eagles D/ST
The Eagles have allowed more than 30 points in three of its last four games, and they are the one NFC East team with no playoff possibility heading into Week 17. But spoiling a division rival’s shot to win the division is a worthy consolation, and the matchup for the defense looks quite good.
With Alex Smith (right calf) out again, Washington was pushed into starting Dwayne Haskins in Week 16. The second-year man was so bad he was benched for Taylor Heinicke, and on Monday Haskins was waived. So if Smith is unable to go Sunday night against the Eagles, Heinicke would be in line to make his first NFL start.
The Eagles’ defense has been able to hang its hat on generating pressure all season. Combine that with possibly facing a quarterback who is not starter-caliber as well as the chance Washington doesn’t have Terry McLaurin (who missed Week 16), and this unit is lined up to deliver fantasy goodness in Week 17.
