Darrel Williams, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

With Clyde Edwards-Helaire out, Williams wound up with more touches (14) than Le’Veon Bell (eight) in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons on his way to 73 total yards (46 rushing, on 10 carries). The Chiefs have clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, so they will be resting starters in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chargers are a mid-tier fantasy defense against running backs. But they are allowing 4.6 yards per carry to the position, and the 83 receptions they’ve allowed to running backs is bottom-10 in the league.

If Williams gets the majority of the snaps on Sunday, with Darwin Thompson perhaps a factor, there’s a path to at least a similar stat line to Week 16. With that, he’ll be worth a look as a RB3 or flex in Week 17.
