Gus Edwards, RB, Baltimore Ravens

With Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins on the COVID-19 list, Edwards is lined up for the majority of the Ravens’ running back work when they play the Pittsburgh Steelers to round out Week 12 Tuesday night. It’s a tough matchup, but injury or COVID issues aside going forward Baltimore seems to have phased Ingram in favor of Edwards and Dobbins in a two-man split.

Back in Week 8 against Pittsburgh, when Ingram was out, Edwards had 16 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown.

From Week 13-Week 16, the Ravens will face three bottom-tier fantasy defenses against running backs (Dallas Cowboys-Week 13, Jacksonville Jaguars-Week 15, New York Giants-Week 16). Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns might not be that daunting either.

Unless you can realistically make the late pivot at this point, Edward is not a plug-and-play for Week 12. But he needs to be owned in the vast majority of leagues heading toward Week 13.
