Wayne Gallman, RB, New York Giants
On Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, Gallman had 24 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown along with three receptions on five targets. He has now scored in five straight games, with over 50 yards in the last three and 18 or more carries in the last two. Even if Devonta Freeman (ankle) comes off IR soon, the Giants would be doing it wrong to make it an equal backfield split.
In Week 13 Gallman gets a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, who entered Week 12 in the bottom-12 of the league against running backs (Yahoo!, 0.5-point PPR). Week 14-16 (Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens) looks fairly tough, but Gallman is getting a lot of of work along with unchecked scoring opportunities.
Gallman has been plucked off the waiver wire in a lot of leagues, and rightfully so. But there’s still room to add him, and he’s lined up as a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 or flex going forward.
