Latavius Murray, RB, New Orleans Saints

Owing in part to conservative game plan due to the Denver Broncos‘ quarterback issues, Murray had 19 carries for 124 yards and two touchdowns in Week 12. In Taysom Hill’s two starts Murray has 31 carries to 24 carries for Alvin Kamara as Kamara’s passing game role has gone away (one catch on three targets).

Murray is arguably the most valuable running back handcuff around, while getting enough work to occasionally find stand-alone value (also while inevitably not being in many fantasy lineups those weeks).

For as long as Hill is starting under center, the Saints will have a run-heavy offense. That opens up Murray as at least a flex option in 12 and 14-team leagues for Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons and going forward. Even as a priority bench stash, he should be owned in way more leagues.
