Devontae Booker, RB, Las Vegas Raiders

On Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, Josh Jacobs had just seven carries before exiting with an ankle injury. Booker didn’t light it up in his place (five carries for six yards, one catch for negative yardage), but the Raiders also scored just six points in a surprising 43-6 loss.

If Jacobs misses Week 13, Booker would be the Raiders’ lead back against a New York Jets defense that entered Week 12 allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to running backs (Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR). Matchups against the Los Angeles Chargers (Week 15) and Miami Dolphins (Week 16) look good as well.

With productive outings in Week 9 and Week 10, Booked showed himself as a valuable handcuff heading into the stretch run of the fantasy season. Now, that is set pay off if Jacobs is out or limited in a nice Week 13 matchup (or beyond).

Booker is a must-add for any Jacobs owner, particularly any that need to secure a win in the final week of the fantasy regular season. Even a non-Jacobs owner could fill a roster spot with a potentially useful player in the waning weeks of the season.
