The 2020 NFL season is now 9 weeks old and there is no better time than now to start picking up players from your fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in the first month and ends up being a top-50 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season.

Instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire tight ends for Week 10.

Austin Hooper, TE, Cleveland Browns

Before Cleveland’s Week 9 bye, Hooper sat out two games after undergoing an appendectomy. He returned to practice last week, which makes him likely to return in Week 10 against the Houston Texans.

Hooper started the season slowly. But he had five catches and six targets in three straight games before his appendectomy, with a touchdown in the first and over 50 yards in the second two. The Browns have also lost Odell Beckham Jr. since Hooper last played.

The Texans are in the bottom-10 of the league against tight ends. Then Hooper gets even better matchups against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12. The Tennessee Titans (Week 13) are a bottom-12 defense against tight ends.

Solid tight ends are valuable currency in fantasy football that should generally be kept. Yet, Hooper was dropped as he missed a couple games and had a bye. So this week is the opportunity to got get him off the waiver wire, and secure a TE1 going forward.
