Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles
Given how the Seahawks’ season has ended, I can understand the apprehension at starting Wilson, who had a rough second half to the season, which stared out brilliantly. Tough defensive matchups, a division that featured two very good defenses and injuries to the entire backfield helped the Seahawks lose their grip on a top seed in the playoffs.
However, they travel well and if anyone can pull off a road victory this weekend it’s Wilson. Yes, Beast Mode is back and will ensure the the Hawks run the ball 25 times. But with the Eagles’ secondary being… well, themselves, Wilson will be using Marshawn Lynch for play action to throw deep on this secondary and test them as so many other quarterbacks have.
