Week 15 is officially in the books and with that many fantasy championships were crowned. We got to see some history made while some teams cemented their playoff positions as others are mathematically still in the hunt.
There are some key things to be gathered in every game and the following is what we should take away from this past weekend.
1. Ravens 42, Jets 21
BAL – It’s Lamar Jackson’s world and we’re just living it. At least that’s what it seems like as the Ravens buzzsaw through another team. Jackson threw five touchdowns and ran for 86 yards while Mark Ingram ran for one score and caught another as the Ravens rolled.
NYJ – Playing from behind, the Jets could get Le’Veon Bell just 21 carries before Sam Darnold used garbage time to score two fourth quarter touchdowns to Jamison Crowder.
2. Raiders 16, Jaguars 20
OAK – Josh Jacobs suited up despite the hurt shoulder and rushed for 89 yards. Darren Waller caught eight passes for 122 yards but did not score. Only Tyrell Williams managed to score but it was another quiet week for Derek Carr.
JAX – The Jaguars found a w ay to score 20 points without Leonard Fournette ever finding the end zone, and no more than 45 yards rushing nor receiving. Gardner Minshew finally delivered the Jags’ fifth win of the season and connected with Chris Conley twice.
3. Seahawks 30, Panthers 24
SEA – Pete Carroll went back to his game plan of pounding the ball with Chris Carson and he took advantage of Carolina’s soft run defense to the tune of 133 yards and two touchdowns. Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett finally got a matchup in their favor hooking up eight times for 120 yards and a score. D.K. Metcalf got a red zone score and Josh Gordon finally made his presence felt with a 58-yard catch but unfortunately, he tested positive for PED and substance abuse again.
CAR – Christian McCaffrey racked up 175 total yards with two touchdowns but Kyle Allen’s turnovers put this team behind the 8 ball.
