There’s just a few weeks left to make that playoff push, to position yourself, to get that higher seed or separation. Fantasy owners are down to the last bye week, and with the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers and Minnesota Vikings all out, some prime time players will be on the shelf. Dalvin Cook owners for example are going to need look to their bench for the first time this season and fill that hole. Melvin Gordon owners were just starting to get comfortable starting him too, and will need to change their lineup, and that’s where we are there to help you out.
Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on.
Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 12 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Sit.
Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers
It’s hard to imagine that Rodgers is a matchup quarterback but this season he has been. Against the tougher defenses like Dallas, Minnesota, Denver, Carolina, Chicago and hell, even the Los Angeles Chargers held Rodgers to a combined five passing touchdowns. Think about that for a second. He’s also failed to reach 20.0 fantasy points in seven games this year, with just three games over 300 yards.
Face the facts, Rodgers in this offense is a matchup guy and the Niners, at least on paper are a touch matchup, finally giving up their first three touchdown performance by an opposing quarterback last week by Kyler Murray — but he had to scramble for it. Based on what’s happened this season, for both sides of this matchup, it’s wiser to sit him down.
