It’s time to put the right players forward and keep the ball rolling. Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on.
That said, the early part of the season can be a tough one since the preseason shows so little to go on. The complete NFL package get clearer and clearer with each passing week. Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 3 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start.
Nelson Agholor and JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Detroit Lions
If you had DeSean Jackson or Alshon Jeffery in your starting lineup in Week 2, or in my case both, then you were in a panic before halftime of the Eagles-Falcons Sunday Night game. Balanced offense is a big part of the Eagles’ attack, so we’re not going to see the receivers grounded, but it’s Agholor and the rookie Arcega-Whiteside that are going to benefit from Jackson and Jeffery’s ailments. Agholor welcomed the added attention en route to catching 8-of-11 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown.
While the Lions have talented cornerbacks, they’ve still allowed Kyler Murray and Philip Rivers to pass around them and Carson Wentz will do the same. Jackson is scheduled to miss this week’s game and potentially more. So I definitely like Agholor in PPR leagues while JJAW is a sleeper after having a great preseason, he just needs the snaps. Now he’ll get that chance but only in deeper leagues does he get a sleeper start from me. I still think he’s a little too risky in shallower leagues, but at the least he’s worth a stash.
