This is the first big bye week of the 2019 season and it’s a doozy as four teams are on break: Buffalo, Indianapolis, Oakland and Chicago. Many teams have shown who they are, while we’re still waiting to see if others have shown their makeup or if they’ll evolve into something down the road. Either way, Week 6 is an opportunity to keep the momentum going in the right direction.
Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on.
Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 6 Fantasy Football Running Backs to Start.
Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
The blueprint has been laid out to beat the Ravens. Run the ball at them and run it often. The Ravens have been given up at least 50 rushing yards to four different running backs in the last three weeks. They’ve also allowed backs to score six touchdowns against them in that time frame, which goes to show that Baltimore’s front seven isn’t as good as originally advertised.
As for Mixon, it’s been a slow start to the season. The Bengals have not committed to the run, but after losing their first two receivers, they don’t have a choice. In the last three weeks, Mixon has run 15 times for 60 yards against the Bills, 15 times for 62 yards against the Steelers and 19 times for 93 yards against the Cardinals. With his numbers moving in the right direction, Mixon is primed for a fantasy start, pronto.
