It’s time to put the right players forward and keep the ball rolling. Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on.

That said, the early part of the season can be a tough one since the preseason shows so little to go on. The complete NFL package get clearer and clearer with each passing week. Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.

Here are your Week 3 Fantasy Football Running Backs to Start.

Carlos Hyde, Houston Texans at Los Angeles Chargers

For those who scoffed at the trade for Hyde earlier this season, just look at his production over the last two weeks. Against a brutal Jaguars front seven, he was a workhorse, carrying the ball 20 times for 90 yards. He nearly got that amount, with half the carries against a very good Saints defense in Week 1 and having learned little from the playbook.

It’s true, he hasn’t found the end zone yet, and that’s a knock on him in leagues that are touchdown-heavy. I also understand the allure of Duke Johnson in passing situations but Hyde has proved for the first two weeks that he is valued, especially with his quarterback taking so many hits, and is worth a flex start against a Chargers defense that has thus far fell short of expectations.
