Another NFL and fantasy football season is upon us, as the 2019 campaign kicks off Thursday night.

That also means we’re starting another season of content here at Bruno Boys, and here are nine must-adds off your fantasy football waiver wire for Week 1 as you assess your drafted rosters.

Ty Montgomery, RB, New York Jets

Montgomery signed with the New York Jets during the offseason, and he has earned the No. 2 spot on the depth chart behind Le’Veon Bell. With question marks about Bell after a year off the field, and indications the Jets will not give their marquee free agent signing a huge workload right out of the gate, the former Packer is now a top-end handcuff.

Montgomery’s best season in Green Bay came in 2016, when he had 1,171 all-purpose yards (815 yards from scrimmage) with 44 receptions as he finished as a RB3 in full-point PPR scoring. He even had dual eligibility as a running back and wide receiver on some fantasy league hosts.

Apart from any risk or questions about Bell, Montgomery is in line to be used as a versatile weapon in the Jets’ offense. He could fall into some standalone value, especially in PPR formats, and he’s worth a roster spot in deeper leagues going into Week 1.
