DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens
In case you’re looking for potential at a basement bargain price, then look no further than Parker. Why is he so cheap? No one expects anything from this offense that’s led by either Ryan Fitzpatrick or Josh Rosen, who we will eventually see under center this season at some point. Health is another reason, as Parker’s missed 11 games in his first four years. He’s never broken 750 yards, 57 receptions or been targeted 100 times. Then there’s the nine career touchdowns. He should be the Dolphins top receiver but Jakeem Grant, Allen Hurns and deep threat Albert Wilson are all vying for targets too. But there’s always the chance he could pop and take people by surprise.
Chances are though, if he’s available in your waiver wire now, he’ll still be available in Week 2 because he has a terrible matchup in Baltimore with Jimmy Smith and/or Marlon Humphrey switching on him. Fitzpatrick is probably looking for Wilson in the slot, or Kenyan Drake to bail him out.
