Drafts are done. The regular season is here and now that you’ve finalized your roster, it’s time to put the right players forward and start the season fast. Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on. On the flip side, sometimes you want start someone but all signs are pointing to a benching.
The early part of the season can be a tough one since the preseason shows so little to go on. Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 1 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Sit.
Robby Anderson, New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills
Anderson has been nursing a calf injury and was limited this week in practice but should play in Week 1. As Sam Darnold’s favorite receiver last year, many are hoping Anderson will level up in 2019, but that includes being able to shrug off the best cornerback from every team. That might have to wait in Week 1 as he is likely to get blanket coverage by Tre’Davious White. The Bills star cornerback is a big reason why the Bills have such a tough secondary and is a great challenge for any receiver, much less Anderson.
