It’s time to put the right players forward and keep the ball rolling. Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on. That said, the early part of the season can be a tough one since the preseason shows so little to go on. Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 2 Fantasy Football Running Backs to Sit.
Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos v. Chicago Bears
I would’ve liked to have seen more usage for Lindsay in Week 1 but the game script got away from them as they needed to make up some points in the second half. They also have this need to feed Royce Freeman too but I still feel that the more touches he gets, the more effective Lindsay becomes.
That said, all the carries Denver could plan for Lindsay are not going to matter much against this run defense. It’s been like running into a wall under Matt Nagy and the Bears have allowed just two 100-yard rushers in 2018. They’re off to an encore performance in 2019, holding Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams to combined 39 rushing yards off 18 carries, and three receptions for 15 yards in Week 1. With Lindsay still sharing carries and facing the Bears, I’d bench him until a better matchup comes up.
