This is the first big bye week of the 2019 season and it’s a doozy as four teams are on break: Buffalo, Indianapolis, Oakland and Chicago. Many teams have shown who they are, while we’re still waiting to see if others have shown their makeup or if they’ll evolve into something down the road. Either way, Week 6 is an opportunity to keep the momentum going in the right direction.
Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on.
Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 6 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Sit.
Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
Here’s a great test for Goff as the Niners’ defense looks great out of the gate. At 4-0 the Niners have attacked the quarterback with Joey Bosa and the team has 13 sacks already, and that pass rush has forced some bad decisions by opposing quarterbacks. That’s why they have seven interceptions already and forced four fumbles. In three of their first four games, the Niners didn’t allow the opposing signal caller to reach 200 yards. Granted, they’ve played some mediocre teams so far from the AFC North and Jameis Winston doesn’t take care of the football.
We know that Goff can be sloppy with the ball, especially when rushed and the Rams don’t always travel well. On paper, this is a bad matchup and the Rams on offense have looked confused at times. We’d avoid this matchup and observe this game from afar.
