Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers

If Week 4 was any indication that Nick Chubb should carry the weight of the Browns offense, then we should expect Mayfield to continue taking a back seat as this offense finds its grooves. Mayfield has only thrown one touchdown in each game, but he’s also thrown at least one pick in each game and the Niners’ defense is much improved with a fierce pass rush and solid secondary play led by Richard Sherman.

I know the Browns just throttled the Ravens, but we shouldn’t be too confident that they’ve turned the corner yet. There will be better days but if you have safer plays, it might be smart to use some restraint. Mayfield’s day gets even more ominous if Jarvis Landry can’t get out of concussion protocol in time for Week 5. If he does, then I do like Mayfield better. Antonio Callaway is a minor boost, but can’t be trusted with his recent history with drops.
