It’s time to put the right players forward and keep the ball rolling. Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on.
That said, the early part of the season can be a tough one since the preseason shows so little to go on. The complete NFL package get clearer and clearer with each passing week. Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 3 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Sit.
Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles Rams
After watching the Week 2 Monday Night game that saw Mayfield taking too long to snap the ball and some rather sluggish play from the rushing offense would have me concerned if I was a Mayfield owner. Not only is he holding the ball too long, but he’s making some questionable decisions in this early season and not taking what the defense is giving him, a trait that suited him well in his rookie season.
He can’t make those mistakes against the Rams, which are loaded at nearly every defensive position. Losing David Njoku will hurt too, especially in the red zone. The offensive line play has to improve by leaps and bounds too, immediately because the Rams have held both quarterbacks that they’ve faced to under 10.0 fantasy points. Even with the upgrades at receiver, Mayfield remains a matchup fantasy play.
