The 2019 NFL season is now 8 weeks old and it’s time to start streaming defenses from your fantasy football waiver wire. Unless you own a top-5 defense, you are better off finding the best option each week from your fantasy football waiver wire. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the team defense that is going to help you win your matchup.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire team defenses that could help your team in Week 9.

Philadelphia Eagles, D/ST

The Eagles defense is coming off one of its best performances of the season in Week 8, as they held the Buffalo Bills to 13 points with four sacks of Josh Allen. It should also be noted they have at least three sacks in three of their last four games, with a very good matchup coming in Week 9.

There’s no greater sign of Matt Nagy’s confidence in his offense, and quarterback Mitch Trubisky, then what happened late in the fourth quarter Week 8. Rather than run another play, either a run or a short pass with a timeout in hand, Nagy chose to take a knee and have Eddy Pineiro attempt a 41-yard game-winning field goal (which he of course missed).

Philadelphia’s defense is exploitable on the back end. But Trubisky and the Bears are not equipped to take advantage, much like the Jets in Week 5 when the Eagles had 10 sacks and allowed six points to a Luke Falk-led offense. A repeat of that performance isn’t coming this week, but it’s always safe to stream a defense going against Trubisky.
