The 2019 NFL season is now 7 weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire and hoping they can help you secure a playoff spot. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire Quarterbacks for Week 8.

Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings

Cousins went 24-for-34 for 337 yards and four touchdowns against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He has now topped 300 yards with multiple passing touchdowns and more than 20 fantasy points in three straight games.

In Week 8, Cousins gets a revenge game angle against the Washington Redskins. It also happens to be a good matchup, as the Redskins entered Week 7 allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring). In seven games, four quarterbacks have thrown three touchdown passes against Washington.

Week 9 is also promising for Cousins, with the Kansas City Chiefs entering Week 7 as a bottom-eight fantasy defense against quarterbacks. From a certain perspective, Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys and Week 11 against the Denver Broncos don’t look as daunting as a glance at their standing against quarterbacks shows.

Cousins will have a hard time sustaining what he’s done in the last three games. But he’s a top-end fantasy starter in each of the next two weeks, with the potential to be viable in two-quarterback leagues after that.
