The 2019 NFL season is just 4 weeks old and it’s time to start streaming defenses from your fantasy football waiver wire. Unless you own a top-5 defense, you are better off finding the best option each week from your fantasy football waiver wire. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the team defense that is going to help you win your matchup.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire team defenses that could help your team in Week 5.

Philadelphia Eagles, D/ST

Due in part to injuries depleting their depth, the Eagles’ defense has only delivered three sacks and four interceptions through four games (three in one game). But they are in virtually fail-proof position to succeed in Week 5.

There’s a chance Sam Darnold (mono/spleen) returns to action for the New York Jets on the short end of his recovery timetable coming out of a bye in Week 5. But if he doesn’t play, Philadelphia will get their shot against Luke Falk under center with the home crowd on their side. The two defenses who have faced Falk, and before him Trevor Siemian in Week 2, the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots, have registered a total of nine sacks and delivered 13.5 fantasy points per game (Yahoo! scoring).

As expected, a solid chunk of fantasy owners have shed the Eagles’ defense. But this is the week to back on the bandwagon in about as good a matchup as there can be even if Darnold somehow plays.
