Ronald Jones/Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Back and forth we go. Jones became a fantasy add with 13 carries for 75 yards in Week 1, then he gave way to Barber (23 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown) in Week 2. Then Jones was back in Week 3 against the New York Giants, with a team-leading 80 yards on 14 carries along with a 41-yard reception. Barber actually had more touches though, with 13 carries for 48 yards while adding two catches for seven yards.

Two of Tampa Bay’s next three opponents (Los Angeles Rams-Week 5, Carolina Panthers-Week 6) entered Week 3 in the bottom-12 of the league in fantasy points allowed to running backs, and the New Orleans Saints in Week 5 isn’t all that daunting either. So there should be room for Jones and Barber to produce, though Devin Ogunbowale (19 snaps in Week 3) remains something of a factor.

Jones has better upside, and is more widely available, while Barber is just solid and downright boring from a certain perspective. But both guys are worth adding in 12 and 14-team leagues, if only to add a flex option to your roster.
