The 2019 NFL season is just 2 weeks old and it’s time to start streaming defenses from your fantasy football waiver wire. Unless you own a top-5 defense, you are better off finding the best option each week from your fantasy football waiver wire. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the team defense that is going to help you win your matchup.
Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire team defenses that could help your team in Week 3.
San Francisco 49ers D/ST
After a standout showing in Week 1 against Tampa Bay, spurred by two pick-sixes, the 49ers held the Cincinnati Bengals to 17 points with four sacks and an interception in Week 2. Any idea those performances are a fluke can be set aside for at least another week.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be traveling to San Francisco in Week 3, with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) out for the season and giving way to Mason Rudolph. Running back James Conner also left last week’s game with a knee injury, but there seems to be a chance he won’t miss time.
The 49ers defense does not have a lot of sustainability as a fantasy commodity, as their matchups get tougher down the road. For Week 3 though, they are a high-end streamer with perhaps the best matchup for any defense on the week’s slate.
