DJ Chark, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Chark had four catches for 146 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, with a 35-yard touchdown and another reception of 69 yards. The touchdown came from Nick Foles, who suffered a broken collarbone on the play, and rookie Gardner Minshew took over.
On the surface, Minshew is a clear downgrade from Foles; however there’s also case he is a better raw talent, and the Washington State product might be willing to take risks downfield. That should be right in Chark’s wheelhouse.
With a rookie quarterback at helm, consistency might be elusive for Chark. But he’s worth adding in standard 12 and 14-team leagues, if only as an option to consider when he has a good matchup.
