Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys
As the Cowboys unveiled a new offense in Week 1, Gallup caught all seven of his targets for a team-high 158 yards against the New York Giants. He didn’t catch any of Dak Prescott’s four touchdown passes, but the second-year man seems ready to deliver on his breakout potential this season.
From Week 2-Week 4, Gallup is lined up to succeed in favorable matchups against the Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints. Even the three games after that, Green Bay Packers (Week 5), New York Jets (Week 6) and Philadelphia Eagles (Week 7) don’t look particularly stifling with Amari Cooper drawing the opposition’s No. 1 cornerback. Then after a Week 8 comes the second game against the Giants in Week 9.
Obviously taking out the bye week, Gallup is set to be a startable WR2 or WR3 from here until Week 9. That type of player has to be 100 percent owned in fantasy leagues, and he’s not there right now.
