The 2019 NFL season is 1 week old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.
Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire running backs for Week 2.
Malcolm Brown, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Brown had 11 carries for 53 yards and two touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, as he operated behind Todd Gurley (14 carries) while rookie Darrell Henderson had just one carry.
It’s clear Gurley’s usage will be monitored closely, so there’s an opportunity for someone to produce as his backup in something resembling a timeshare. All the buzz surrounded Henderson all summer, only for Brown to be the guy during the first game that counted.
Brown made fade from the fantasy radar quickly if Henderson really emerges. But right now, as a running back with a role in a good offense, Brown is worth a look in standard 12 and 14-team leagues.
