The 2019 NFL season is just 1 week old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire and hoping they can help you secure a playoff spot. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire Quarterbacks for Week 2.

Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills

Four turnovers (two interceptions, two fumbles) took a lot of shine off his day. But when it was all said and done, Allen finished with 254 passing yards, 38 rushing yards and two total touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) against the New York Jets on Sunday to deliver a solid fantasy day (17.96 points, Yahoo! scoring).

Allen’s next two matchups look promising, with the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals on the slate. Both teams allowed multiple passing touchdowns in Week 1, and Allen obviously notably adds to his production with his legs.

Somehow, after being the highest-scoring fantasy quarterback from Week 12-Week 17 last year, Allen was significantly avoided on draft day. It’s time for that to change, heading into a couple nice matchups in a row and a third in Week 4 (New England Patriots) that may bring high-end production.
